By 1.0 release it is planned for the game to have a 'progression mode' (sometimes called campaign mode) where the player will be able to progress and unlock things. WebBlade and sorcerery is great, but it's not finished. I've played a lot of both and really gotten more out of boneworks. You've got a full, repayable campaign full of secrets to hunt, and some bonus arena content. Blade and sorcery is just four arenas. The melee tech is cool but you can expirience all there is to offer in one of two hours.
