That's its entire purpose. "Detect" only keeps it from auto-applying on cores that don't implement keyboard input, but Flycast does (Dreamcast keyboard, for things like Typing of the Dead and PSO). This is working as intended. You can press scroll lock to toggle game focus if needed.
