Web3 nov 2009 · my transfer case is the NP-207 i think (4wd high - Neutral - Low) with the AX-15 manual transmission. It shifts into 4 wheel just fine, but when it gets to the point where i need the traction and the wheels may start spinning it makes an awful grinding noise like clutches or something. I took it out of 4 wheel once i got out and engaged it again. Web5 lug 2024 · Thoroughly clean and dry both parts. 5. I did searching and a lot suggests that it is the linkage out of adjustment. It came out of a 93 with 4.0 aw4 and went into the same year make and model.
