I'm not sure why they're so averse. Nothing has ever happened while having it done. I've got scratches all over my hands. I desperately need to get their nails cut. WebMy large dog will NOT let me, the vet, or anyone else trim his nails and they are very long. I’ve tried the clippers and a dremel tool. We’ve tried treats and trying to divert his attention, but he continues to pull away and/or nip at us. Short of putting him to sleep to cut them, I don’t know what else to try.
